James N. Citta J.S.C. (Ret.)

The Honorable James N. Citta has practiced since his graduation from Vermont Law School in 1977. After law school, Judge Citta went into private practice, specializing in municipal law, land use, real estate, and business law. In 1992, Judge Citta ascended to the bench after receiving an appointment from Governor James Florio. During his 19-year career, Judge Citta served in each division of the New Jersey Superior Court, presiding over family, criminal, and civil matters. He also served as an adjunct professor at Ocean County College, and served on the Criminal Practice Committee of the New Jersey Supreme Court during his tenure as a judge.

At DeNoia, Tambasco & Germann, Judge Citta gives guidance to all of the firm’s members in various matters. He also actively participates in real estate transactions, trust and estate cases, federal matters, and other non-litigation matters.
