Marlene Lynch Ford is a retired Superior Court Judge and Of Counsel to DeNoia, Tambasco & Germann. Her practice includes dispute resolution, mediation, arbitration and private investigations. She has also served as a court-appointed mediator and as a special adjudicator. Judge Ford is experienced in a broad range of civil, probate and family law cases.

Judge Ford is a graduate of Georgian Court University (B.A. History, Magna Cum Laude) and Seton Hall University School of Law (J.D. 1979). She was admitted to the practice of law in New Jersey in 1979. During the course of her legal career, Judge Ford has had the unique experience of serving the public in all three branches of state government: legislative, executive and judicial.

Judge Ford began her legal career as a general practice attorney in Ocean County. She later expanded her experience in land use, government regulation, and corporate law as General Counsel to H. Hovnanian Enterprises, a major housing developer. She also served as chief counsel to the Assembly Democratic delegation and as Municipal Prosecutor in Jackson Township. Elected to the New Jersey General Assembly in 1983 and 1989, she served on several legislative committees, including as chair of the Assembly Judiciary Committee. She was the prime sponsor of more than 75 bills signed into law.

In 1992, Governor James Florio appointed her to serve as Judge of the Superior Court, assigned to the Ocean Vicinage. She served in both the civil and the family law divisions. In 2007, Judge Ford resigned from the Superior Court in order to accept appointment by Governor Corzine as the Ocean County Prosecutor. She was the chief law enforcement officer for Ocean County from 2007 until 2013.

In 2013, Governor Chris Christie appointed her to return to the Superior Court as a judge. In 2015, Chief Justice Stuart Rabner designated her as the Ocean County Assignment Judge. She served in that capacity until her retirement in 2023.

Judge Ford has completed the Harvard Program on Negotiations mediation course. As a mediator in a wide variety of disputes, she has used her knowledge, skill and experience to achieve practical conclusions to even the most complex and intractable disputes. Although based in Ocean County, Judge Ford is available throughout New Jersey to work with the parties to bring any dispute to a successful resolution.
